Since Saudis REGULARLY marry first cousins, it’s NO surprise that this guy isn’t playing with a full deck.

shyt-can the entire officer corps and promote from the ranks. this is of course assuming the navy chiefs are any better than the ranking officers. the dems have destroyed the military.

...and he’s got the “dead eyes” look we often see in these fiends.

Islam is demonic.

Thanks for a completely asinine comment. Have you ever spent a single day underway on a commissioned warship?

Hmmm, after the 9/11/01 attacks, didn’t President Bush evacuate Saudi personnel, in the only aircraft aloft over the US, back to Saudi Arabia?

Sudden Jihad Syndrome strikes again on a Friday.

(Remember London and the Hague last week?)

I wonder which Mosque and which Imam twisted his turban during “Friday Prayers”?

Add LCS and CVN-78 Ford failures plus ordering 3 more Ford class CVNs. Not to mention the rush to buy F-35C tinker toys which broke the maintenance budget.

The jihadi probably smuggled the handgun in a hollowed-out koran, knowing that the American infidels weren’t allowed to touch it.

There was one good thing to hear. The deputies as soon as they arrived, went into the building and engaged the murderer.

No amount of modernization will alter the constant creation of such individuals in the culture of Saudi Arabia.

The individual was vetted by the Saudis and by our own DOD, but they could not discover what was hidden in his heart.

What was he doing anywhere near the base with a weapon? Certainly not a requirement for flight training or classroom work. If I remember right, weapons carried by US servicemen weren’t even allowed at Fort Hood.

“Perhaps training our enemies should no longer be a priority.”

As well as educating our enemies, the Chinese.

Volunteered at Walter Reed during the Iraq War when the Fort Hood Shooter was there. They knew he had extremist views (Heck even I thought he had a loose screw!) but PC ruled the day.

I have a good friend who is Muslim. She came here after the overthrow of the Shah.

She’s a hard core Republican who won’t set foot in any DC area mosque except one in Virginia...She calls it her Jesus mosque.

Her favorite place to pray is the National Cathedral.

I think she’s a rarity.

“It’s not “often”. It’s almost always. Anyone that has gone through Navy Flight School will tel you that they know a Saudi Royal.”

This is true^^

Just about every pilot in the Saudi Air Force is kin to the king, most of them are considered princes but there are probably 15,000 “princes” in Saudi Arabia. Everything runs on kinship over there, your degree of kinship to the king determines your lot in life.

They send these guys over here to train and pretty much give them an unlimited credit card, they would show up driving Lamborghinis and other expensive sports cars when I was in flight school. They also went wild, out partying all the time, drinking, chasing girls, etc. You’d be surprised (or not) how many American girls would flock to these little greaseballs when they’d show up in a fancy car throwing money around.

There was a story I’d heard years ago about one Saudi that just refused to make any effort at all in flight school, never studied or prepared for the flights, partied all the time etc. The navy finally had enough and kicked him out, putting him on a plane back to Saudi and telling them that they just couldn’t work with him. The story goes that he was met at the airplane by security guards who dragged him away and he was summarily executed for dishonoring the royal family. After that the navy instituted a blanket policy that we couldn’t attrite them no matter how bad they were, the navy didn’t want the blood on their hands. I’m not sure if the story was true but that’s what I was told in flight school.

And I doubt we can be very confident of the vetting in some countries, whatever they think the word means.
