You know the Democrats are in trouble when a young mayor of a city best known for its football team has emerged as a leading candidate for the Democrat nomination for president.
That is Pete Buttigieg, 37, the two- term mayor of South Bend, Indiana, the home of Notre Dame, who clearly is gaining ground over the rest of the field of candidates following the last Democratic presidential debate in Atlanta.

He flounced into the field and is prancing his way to victory.
The President is a national office. The qualities (or lack of same) that allows someone to be a mayor in a small town does not always translates well nation wide.
Buttigieg is a Democrat running in a field full of extreme leftest. His vision for America is not what you would call center of the road.
So where is his support going to come from? New York, California? Any Democrat running already has those. What does he offer to middle America?
Lower taxes, he is a Democrat, so never.
Secure borders, no.
Improve the economy, again, he is a Democrat, he will want more laws and regulations that will slow the economy.
So he offers nothing for middle America, yet when he does not get the nomination, we will all be “homophobic” because we did not vote for him because he is a homosexual.
Which is what we are hearing from Kamala Harris only it is because she is a woman of color.
No, they are not going to win because their vision for America is not what Americans want. It is a simple as that.
I’ve already bought six of them for annual consumption.
My brother and I have been giving each other the same fruitcake for Christmas for the last 28 years.

My Mother made fruitcakes for family members at Christmas. One of her secrets...she’d add a cup of applesauce to the batter. My wife and kids didn’t eat fruitcake, so I got it all...and I’d make it last. The longer the fruitcake lasted the more it turned into a heavy bread “candy bar”. Man, I miss my Mom...and her fruitcakes.
