Townhall.com has uncovered an IRS 990 form showing that the Chick-fil-A Foundation contributed $ 2,500 in 2017 to the anti-Christian Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).
Tax reports have now exposed Chick-fil-A for funding the anti-Christian Southern Poverty Law Center; an organization linked in federal court to domestic terrorism after their smear campaign of Christian organizations resulted in a shooting in which the gunman planned to smear Chick-fil-A sandwiches in the faces of his victims.
Not only has Chick-fil-A abandoned donations to Christian groups including the Salvation Army, it has donated to one of the most extreme anti-Christian groups in America. Anyone who opposes the SPLC, including many Protestants, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, and traditional conservatives, is slandered and slapped with the extremist label or even worse, their hate group designation. At one point, the SPLC even added Dr. Ben Carson to its extremist list because of his biblical views (and only took him off the list after public outcry).

Im boycotting too.
I wonder if Franklin Graham knew this
when he ran his mouth?
the point is they used to take a biblically moral stand by opposing gay marriage- which the left attacked mercilessly, but CFA didn’t buckle for a long time- i n their busienss- they no longer do-
Bummer. Going to a Chik-fil-A was on my bucket list. It’s weird that my bucket list is getting shorter and shorter without me doing the things on it.
They are going to be “consulted” out of business.
Im done with CFA!
I have walked into CFA many times and never seen anything in the restaurant about opposing gay marriage.
I don’t see anything “religious” anywhere in the restaurant.
I have seen their billboards, basically it is a cow that says “eat more chiken” again, nothing religious.
So the public face/branding of the company has zero to do with religion of any sort.
I’m wondering if this is really true.
We don’t have a Chick-Fil-A, now I don’t want one!
[[I have walked into CFA many times and never seen anything in the restaurant about opposing gay marriage.]]
did ya miss the massive controversy and ‘boycotts’ by the left over the issue?
[[So the public face/branding of the company has zero to do with religion of any sort.]]
It was implied and well known- why do you think so many conservatives came to their rescue when the left did their pathetic boycott? Sales skyrocketed for them after that because everyone approved of them not approving of gay marriage- CFA took a stand for God and their belief, the left tried ot punish them for it- and it backfired- if you can’t see why people who supported CFA are disjointedness now that they have reversed what the original owner stood for- then whatever- but it’s obvious enough-
[[Bummer. Going to a Chik-fil-A was on my bucket list.]]
Me too- no more though
Thanks!

SPLC is EVIL and VILE!! I will NEVER eat Chick FILA again!! NEVER!!
So it seems that from a completely detached perspective that the company has been playing conservatives for suckers for quite some time. Kinda like the contemporary "Christian" music industry.
If you listen to the music played in the restaurant (at least in our local restaurants), it's Christian Contemporary. And CFA is closed on Sundays.
But, you're right, otherwise, there was never anything overtly Christian there. It was always just a family place selling popular food.
If not for Mr. Cathy's remarks, there might never have been a "controversy" (and CFA might not have made so much profit at that time).
Now CFA execs have stepped into politics again. How strange that they donated to the SPLC, especially after the shooter was influenced by SPLC. Maybe CFA donated to SPLC to stay off their "hate list."
Still not holding it against local operators, though, but we probably won't buy there as often now.
The new, soon to be fired, imho, guy.
Yo know, I didn’t care who they gave money too, until they made it sound important who they gave money to.
Now i’m putting money in the salvation army tins, and telling them it’s the money I would have spent on a chicken sandwich.
Drudge, Fox, Chick-fil-...
The dominoes continue to fall. We get weaker, they get stronger.
