she did say that about growing up..but that has long been gone.
I watch brit shows most of the time through free Acorn TV and sometimes through paid Britbox and the typical low level accent is different than hers

maybe its because as we used to say she is so stuck up if it rained she would drown from rain going down her nose..lol
Watch the series Downton Abbey. Very well researched and she sounds much more like the gentry than like the servants.
She has a manufactured refined accent from growing up in northern England. She’s worked hard to grind out her northern accent to make it seem more refined, but you can hear a tendency to lengthen her vowels that still gives her a northerner/Scottish sound.
I have an Aussie DIL, she sounds nothing like Hill.
Hill’s voice sounds snooty to me.

Lived in Europe for 5 years, non government job, worked with all nationalities .
Theres two forms of english from friends developed over time from the UK...
the queens - like hers, more pronounced , sounds important but once you realize its BS easy to see the attempt to put on “ airs”
The short preciseness is to cause you to think I dare not question...
The commoners - more guttural... think deplorables.... the real people
