Holmes also stated that he asked Sondland what Trump said. So why did he have to ask, if he already heard it?

I think it's also strange that Holmes would even ask what was said. Was he being nosy, or was he already clued into the idea that a trap was being set to catch Trump in some sort of trap set up by Vindman, and others?

This whole plot may be more organized than first thought.

Since the phone call was no doubt privileged, Holmes should be asked if Sondland shared the content with him.
