I suggest he send in someone to testify on his behalf. Like someone who has overheard what someone said about conversations he was not present at but feels very strongly about.
NO!!!!!

Agree. Responding only serves to legitimize this farce.
Beside, no responses will ever satisfy the Dems. It will only generate more questions and baseless accusations.
He shouldn’t play their game unless he writes fu on each question.
On the other hand, he’s not stupid. And if they redact his answers, he’ll put them online in their entirety.
I find it hard to see how it could benefit him, but maybe he has his reasons.
My nerves are frayed following Trump’s actions and inactions.
Na, he’s just screwing with Nancy again
Interesting.
The President could easily say, “go pound sand.”
This might be a troll.

What if Trump asked all Republican House members to urge a vote for impeachment so that the Senate can force about a hundred witnesses to testify under oath. But they all state that the sole purpose is to investigate and get criminal convictions. THAT would really screw the Democrats in the next election.
Perjury trap. Same as Mueller.
There is a time and a place and Schiff’s current kangaroo court is neither. He would be wise to wait until it hits the trial in the Senate. At least that way there’s a chance for due process..

Trump should probably not testify. But he could use the opening to negotiate new rules for the hearing, including a) allow GOP to call any witness they want b) allow POTUS counsel to attend and cross examine c) allow any questions of any witness d) allow introduction of any evidence etc.
In the end I think Trump should not testify at all, but he should use this offer to force the issue of the general unfairness and lack of due process into the general debate. In the end they won’t agree, and they won’t change the rules and he won’t testify but he can use this to sidetrack the conversation.
It’s like “when did you stop beating your wife?” AHA!
