I have never done 23-and-me, nor have I ancestry.comd myself. Its never felt necessary. My familys Eastern European Jewish heritage was something we lived to honor, including in our politics.
Like so many others, my family came to this country escaping discrimination in the Old Country and facing injustice in the New: abusive labor conditions; university quotas; social exclusion when we tried to climb the ladder of the American dream. Given our history in this country and our involvement in so many social justice movements it shouldnt be a surprise that so many young Jews, myself included, cant imagine being anything other than political progressives. As a gay abortion rights advocate and environmentalist, my place in such circles has always been welcomed and accepted.
Well, until now.

OK.
As a gay abortion rights advocate
Advocating murder, sodomy, and theft seem to me a poor way of honoring Jewish heritage
But I'm not Jewish. Maybe I'm missing something.
Sucks to be you Blake. Enjoy that progressivism. I’m sure you’ll both be very happy.
Hmm, wondering why it doesn't say what to do about the other guy.
Everyone on the left bus is going to have to give up their seat to a muslim eventually.
Oy vey!
LOL!
I would consider it if I were you, "Blake Flayton."
Your name sounds like a character on Dynasty - or a bad parody of Dynasty.
article author, Blake Flayton
He’s feeling unwelcome, but it won’t stop him from proudly proclaiming he’s a progressive.
It’s similar to the progressives that flee the crap hole they’ve made in CA, only to proudly vote progressive in their new home.
Savage was right, to paraphrase: progressivism is a mental disorder.
Hussein: “Imam, triple the Jizyah on this one.”
Imam, “ No, it must be quadrupled.”
And this, folks, constitutes the low profile terrain-following pseudo journalism that now infects the “newsrag of record”.
So sad.
Instead of ‘honoring’ (his word) his Jewish heritage, he shames it.
He was given a tremendous blessing and (probably through ignorance thereof, and good intentions) he’s thrown it away for the common-place secular/communistic “humanism” or (forced) “social justice” (his wording again) ... that invariably tramples on human liberties and any genuine attainment of the kind of “nice” society of his dreams.
Meanwhile, unguided missiles like him are, intentionally not, dangerous (especially when enabled or espoused by powerful interests like the seditious (and anti-Semitic, for that matter...”Blake,” are listening? ) NY Times
intentionally OR not
I’m sorry you are sick and demented .
The Hebrew of Lev 20:13 definitely says both of them are put to death. English translations can vary.
But I'm not Jewish. Maybe I'm missing something. You're not missing anything. It's much like Pete Buttigieg always yapping about being a gay Christian.
Full disclosure: I'm a Jewish Christian who used to be a Jewish atheist.
Wrong as I was, I never pretended to speak for all Jews. But then I was never a "professional" Jewish atheist, just an unbeliever of a particular ancestry.
The Poor Schmuck is just a Kapo to Dems and he doesn’t even know it!
You are not. Being a Jew now a days has nothing to do with religion or god. It has everything to do with being a socialist. Yep the very same politics that got us nearly wiped off this planet.
