Built on lagoon sand, Venice is sinking and flood will only get worse. New Orleans is another example of a place that will be reclaimed by water, as well as much of Holland.

Note to self: don’t live at or below sea level near the sea.

Didn’t Obama just purchase a multi million dollar beach front residence?

Venice? Isn’t that the city the Italians built on a lagoon and which has been disposing of garbage and human waste into the canals for centuries?

The Ms. and I were there in June. It is a very beautiful city. And very sad to see now...

Oh that’s sure to come.....but Venice has been going down hill for a long time......this will ruin their tourist trade for awhile.

That’s right....they know it’s sinking too but with little if any options to stop it.

Smiling because people just don’t consider that. I have fam ily in Florida who choose their home ‘above the city’ because they know Hurricans bring high water. Sure enough a bad one hit and flooded the city but they were safe and dry..and well prepared.

Well Venice and most of these low level places have been sinking for decades....they forget land moves.

Yes in Martha’s Vineyard....where “white people run away from blacks” as Michelle said.
