We can’t possibly allow a president who is under the cloud of Impeachment Proceedings nominate another Supreme Court justice, can we? I'll bet we can, especially since old RBG herself was nominated under that same cloud during the Clinton years.

RBG was nominated in 1993. Stephen Breyer was 1994.
Clinton was impeached in 98 and acquitted in 99.
