Former two-term Ohio Gov. John Kasich, back in New Hampshire for the first time in the year, mostly – but not entirely – closed the door Thursday on a primary challenge against President Trump.
Kasich, who finished second to Trump in the 2016 New Hampshire Republican presidential primary, said during an event at the University of New Hampshire that he won’t file to place his name on the first-in-the-nation presidential primary ballot.
“What it looks like for me at this point and time is, there is no path. We’re only eight days away from the filing deadline here and I don’t intend to file because I don’t see a path,” Kasich emphasized during a book-tour stop in the Granite State.

Sorry, but every time I hear his name I think of him stuffing his mouth with pizza or pasta and meatballs.
There is no path to the White House for ANY Bush League Republican now that President Trump has broken the Bush Blockade at the RNC.
We no longer have to vote for their amnesty candidates.

Kasich never had any business coming up out of the minor leagues. His commentary on the majors is worthless.
That didn’t stop you in 2016. Face reality, there is no path to the White House for you John, ever. Unless of course you run as a Democrat, though I seriously doubt that path is there either, but at least it is a more viable path for you.

I had the slight misfortune of happening to hear him on the radio in 2016 and 2019. Both times I thought “who is this comment caller from home they let talk too long? Their call screener should have dumped him first.” I thought that about Senator(!?!!) Debbie Stabenow of my state of Michigan. “Is that some uninformed liberal woman in front of a supermarket parking lot being questioned on a current event by a local news crew? No. She is a US Senator!”
Kasich’s earlier book promoting non-Trumpian compromise and moderate conciliation with the Dems, went to the Dollar Stores really quickly, where it could not sell beside “Home Plumbing Problems You Can Solve” and “Our 100 Best Animal Friends”.
Why would a publisher waste money on yet another loser book by an ugly weakling who insulted our President by boycotting the GOP convention in Ohio?
