Former national security adviser John Bolton has a book deal, The Associated Press has learned.

The hawkish Bolton departed in September because of numerous foreign policy disagreements with President Donald Trump. He reached a deal over the past few weeks with Simon & Schuster, according to three publishing officials with knowledge of negotiations. The officials were not authorized to discuss the deal publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Two of the officials said the deal was worth about $2 million. Bolton was represented by the Javelin literary agency, whose clients include former FBI Director James Comey and the anonymous Trump administration official whose book, “A Warning,” comes out Nov. 19.

The publishing officials did not know the title or release date. Simon & Schuster declined comment Saturday and Javelin did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Bolton’s 2007 book, “Surrender is Not an Option: Defending America at the United Nations and Abroad,” was published by the conservative Simon & Schuster imprint Threshold Editions.

Bolton’s name has come up often recently during the House impeachment inquiry , which has focused on Trump’s pressure on Ukraine to investigate potential 2020 election rival Joe Biden, the former vice president.

If they were planning on some juicy tidbits, I suspect the advance would be much higher

2 mil is a lot for a political book. Arranged by Comey’s literary agent. No publisher would pay that much without the promise of some dirt on Trump.

Yawn, yet another snoozefest meant to shock and titillate the liberal ninnies with big secrets like “Trump doesn’t read.” or “Trump doesn’t understand complex geopolitical topics.” or “Trump doesn’t like immigrants/black people/homosexuals/people talking to the press/people who contradict him /pick one.”

News flash to publishers. PJDT was elected because of these things not despite them. As long as he keeps delivering on the MAGA promise , he can take a public dump on Fifth Avenue and still win re-election. But it sells books and newspapers so the media is going to keep doing it. As the quote goes

“Sh***, I’ll take any ***’s money if he givin’ it away.”

The public has a right to know how many ‘nonprofit’ groups buy MORE than 10,000 copies...

Wouldn’t there have been some sort of a non-disclosure deal?

I believe that Bolton is a loyal patriot...and despite the little rift, is loyal to the President in every way.

The publisher is no big deal. That's simply what they do...make money off of writers.

= = = = = = = = = =
I would imagine PDJT hired him because he knew he was a lightning rod and the LIBs would weewee themselves over the non-contested appointment.

Figure that PDJT kept him around long enough to make his point, then replaced him.
Like his run for the Presidency. He hired people for the EXACT campaign ahead of him and when successful hired a new crew.

Naturally, all the LIBs figure they all hate PDJT but would think that the deal was set going in.

PDJT is no idiot and he takes advantage of every opportunity.

I wonder when ALL the pictures of the LIBS sucking up to him get ‘leaked’.

I figure he has enough of ALL the NY Dems/LIBs to embarrass the hell out of them.

Do you think Sharpton and Chuckie want the pics of them kissing Citizen Trump’s arse to get more money to see the light of day. Of course, when they were running for something they ALL went to Citizen Trump for a quick buck and Citizen Trump knew he was buying ‘favors’.

We shall soon see if those convinced that Bolton will remain loyal to the President are right. I don’t trust the man one bit, so I know where I’m placing my bets, but I’d love to be wrong on this one.

You need to know more about Bolton's History. I'm sure it would change your opinion.

You have absolutely no reason to distrust him. That's just not in his background.
