While I fully understand the anger you had/have about this cretin’s behavior, we must always strive to avoid being the same type of animal as this man.
I rage when I read about this type of crime.
The 2nd reaction is to *always* remind myself that if I do wanton violence upon another human being than I am no better than he or she and they have thus caused me to compromise myself.
Sigh.
I do strongly believe in the Death Penalty.
I also believe in people carrying arms for protection.
If Mr Gilio (sp?) were carrying and killed the rapist on the spot I would have held no grudge against Mr Gilio.
The prison inmates will not tolerate the rapist and he will find his time behind bars to be worse than his previous prison time.
I would have had zero problem if the mother had wasted the rapist if she could.
