Republicans urge Bevin to provide proof of election fraud or ‘let it go’ and concede
Lexiington Herald Leader ^ | November 7, 2019 | Daniel Desrochers

A growing number of Republican lawmakers are urging Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, a fellow Republican, to either provide evidence of the voting “irregularities” he has alleged or concede Tuesday’s election to Gov.-elect Andy Beshear, who defeated him by 5,189 votes.

“The best thing to do, the right thing to do, is for Governor Bevin to concede the election today so we can move on,” said Rep. Jason Nemes, R-Louisville.

Senate President Robert Stivers, R-Manchester, first raised the possibility of the tight election being decided by the Republican-led legislature Tuesday night when he explained the process that would occur if Bevin decided to challenge the results of the race. Bevin bolstered that speculation Wednesday by claiming that thousands of absentee ballots were counted illegally without presenting any proof to back up his claim.

Republicans in the legislature aren’t buying it.

Nemes said he has not seen much support for an election challenge among his Republican colleagues in the House, largely because the governor has not backed up his claims. None of the lawmakers the Herald-Leader spoke to Thursday said they had seen evidence to support Bevin’s claims.

“It is TYPICAL when the Governor is as unpopular s Bevin is.”

Note to GOP: Don’t run obnoxious assholes for elected positions.

“Republicans” should tell Bevin to DECLARE that “I won” because of “voter suppression”, just like Stacy Abrams did, and continues to do, in Georgia!

How do we know that PUTIN didn’t distort the election for Beshear? I say we need a Special Counsel to find out!

(c) If the Dems were going to cheat, why wouldn’t they cheat all across the board?

Thank you, I made that point the other day

5,000 vote margin isn’t going to erase with a recount, super recount, super duper pooper recount etc.

Concede and move on

If Dimms were cheating, they would have picked up the AG slot as well, why not? You don’t leave that to a republican that can investigate your guy, unless the AG is an undercover Sessions wanabe

It is interesting how Democrats universally get behind claims of fraud, no matter how silly, while Republicans are more fact-based.

As it stands, I believe the attorney general would become the new governor, which is a good thing, as Bevins is apparently a horrible person and the AG (who happens to be black) is widely loved and just won handily.

Exactly, we are to believe the Agriculture commissioner got 100’000 more votes then the guy who defeated an incumbent Governor. How many people can even name the AG?

Does anyone -- anyone -- in what passes for "leadership" in the RNC believe Trump agrees with their plea to throw in the towel and crawl off whimpering to a corner as the Left is used to seeing them do? Trump needs their support -- tepid as it is -- so he probably (hopefully) won't comment, but you just know our accomplished street fighter and exceptional leader must be royally p*ssed off with his Party's "leaders".

If Bevin can’t provide any evidence of election fraud, then he’s basically a white Kentucky version of Juicy Smellitt right now.

Republicans fighting for what is right, is clearly against the rules.

The rule book every establishment Republican must not violate, specifically implies (somewhere, even if religiously imagined), for all and forever, that Republicans are the obedient and enslaved female dogs, and the anti-American global marxist Democrats, who will stop at nothing to either kill your children by the most violent means possible, or indoctrinate them to enslave and destroy themselves - are in all cases, and regardless of breed, to be the violent diseased master male dog designed to rape the female at will.

This is the iron, unbreakable, and forever duty of the female Republican dog party.

Virtually guaranteed.

It all derives from the founding perceived law, that all morality has the duty to die violently, for the cause and sake of mass immorality, enslavement, and suicide.

The “R’s” adhere to these beliefs so religiously, it’s gotta be written somewhere...

no recount for Gov. & Lt. Gov in kentucky.
after the re-canvass, the next step is to contest the election which throws the matter to the legislature to decide.

If a RAT were in the same position, with the same majority in the legislature, they’d contest it in a heart beat.
