Nearly twenty Berlin police were said to have been brutally attacked by far-left Antifa extremists during a demonstration in one of the city’s strongholds for leftist extremism.
The unidentified Antifa members attacked police in the Friedrichshain area, throwing heavy paving stones at the officers along with bottles and other projectiles, with a total of 19 officers injured during the rioting, Focus reports.

I disagree. Beating thugs serves no purpose. They committed assault with a deadly weapon, and the police should have responded immediately with the proportionate force.

Effective crowd control in the US may soon include (if it doesn't already) well-trained snipers who drop any protester observed and recorded using lethal force vs LE.
Let's face it, LE is better equipped with training, equipment, intel, legal protection and size of force than is a stand-alone Patriot.
Perhaps our best role is in watching the back of an individual LEO who reasonably appears to be in a difficult situation (just effectively convey your intention and go obviously passive when backup appears if you haven't identified yourself to 911).
Funny how Antifa are ‘extremists’ in other countries, but righteous heroes in the USA.
