Andy Beshear Democrat 685,142 49.5%
Matt Bevin* Republican 673,070 48.6
John Hicks Libertarian 27,250 2.0
1,385,462 votes, 96% reporting (3,504 of 3,659 precincts)
Just weird how in Kentucky, someone can vote straight GOP, the GOP won every other race in Kentucky but Bevin loses..Bevin must not be liked that much over there
The Trump vote is starting to kick back in for the gov- only 13k vote difference #KYGov
That sounds like voter fraud to me.
27 thousand votes for a guy who had ZERO chance of winning..why do people do that, why do people throw their vote away like that
We got some of ‘em here. Soooo pure.
Yes but they are holding about 25 precincts in Louisville area as reserve
12,000...well. A margin close enough had he not announced toll roads for Northern Kentucky, he would have been likely had enough votes. The 4% of the precincts remaining are simply to low in population to make this up I am afraid.
Actually the best grown in CA is purple.
It’s the best sticky-icky out there
Or was, the stuff I saw isn’t being produced anymore.
Maybe because it’s been legalized here now.
Down to 10,000 with 3% (50,000) left.
Beshear
49.4%
683,831
Bevin
incumbent
48.6%
673,183
Democrat won in a squeaker. Nothing for the national party to crow about.
And Bevin finished as good as he did with all the strong headwinds against him, shows it wasnt anti-GOP.
It was a personal defeat.
This is EXACTLY what I despise about libertarians! They know they have ZERO chance of winning, and they invariably siphon away Republican votes. :0(
Bevin had a 30% approval rating, Trump showing up for a rally got him to ~50% of the vote. That's amazinghttps://t.co/TO08fQIF3P— Comfortably Smug (@ComfortablySmug) November 6, 2019
Beshear 49.4% 685,247
Bevin 48.7% 675,608
Hicks 2.0% 27,406
Beshear Now leads by just 12073
That sounds like voter fraud to me.****
Yeah, who would only cast ONE vote in this day and age of vote fraud...
They think they are solid gold! LOL!
They should know this is the U.S.A. There are two parties ONLY that can win. That is all.
Now if they wanna have a debate about the future of the GOP we need to have that for sure. We either reform it or destroy it but voting for a third party at this juncture is not viable.
The weed is why it is so close. Kentucky’s number one cash crop is weed. Always has been. Ever see the 70’s show? That was the same as Kentucky in the 70’s. A great deal of people is aching to not be labeled criminals and risk everything for a smoke.
Bevin became a lightning rod for the Teacher's Unions. He DARED to try to convert NEW teachers (not existing one's, mind you) to a sweetened 401K type system in an attempt to save the teacher retirement system that is spiraling toward bankruptcy in the next 5 years. For that, he has been skewered, and treated as is he is Satan himself.
I don't have any trouble believing that a LARGE # of teachers in Jefferson County showed up to cast ONE vote: Against Bevin
685,143 Beshear 673,070 Bevin odwn by 12,073. Final vote (assuming no vast swing by absentee or magic precincts) is Beshear by 12,000 to 15,000.
