Or is something terribly wrong with the polls? Most political polls tend to oversample democrats. The difficulty of getting republicans canvassed is universal for various reasons and has been the case for many elections. With the normal 3% margin for error, even if the poll skewed toward dems by even an extra 5% the poll would be very unreliable. Media commissions these polls knowing that there is usually a built in democrat bias. they don’t care however because they just announce the results and never report the internals. They pretend the polling companies are impartial and totally objective without reporting the faulty methodology.
