When you show favoritism to one person, what is it for? Did they just do something that you like? If you think you deserve respect from God, His ways are above yours like the heavens are above the earth. You don't know what earns His respect.

Let me put this in a more positive light. God respects a king no more than a slave. They both get the same justice eventually. A person’s earthly status earns them no points.
