Exactly, that term is so misused here. Deals always have trade offs, always. Otherwise, what’s the reason for any deals at all?
You give us something because... Because what? Even if Trump implied their aid might be in jeopardy, big deal. I’d bet the farm you could find that kind of thing in every deal a president has ever made on foreign policy. Obama sent pallets of taxpayer cash off in the middle of the night as part of a deal. Now that’s quid pro quo.
All they even have in the transcript is Trump asking for a favor, not demanding one. Big F’n deal.
