He's put some odd tweets out there in the past (such as "covefe") but never anything this straightforward so I don't think he'd toy with us on something like this. So whatever happened is going to be pretty big I believe. Hopefully he announces it soon or I'm not going to get any sleep tonight.
I think you’re right, he would have to deliver the goods on such a big statement, or it would hurt his credibility the next time, so I don’t think he will disappoint.
