Oh don’t count yourself short. If you go those DNA testing websites they will “surprisingly” find you are any number of races you never thought you were. It’s just their little contribution to the struggle.
I did one of those tests, and it put me squarely, and solely, into the British Isles.

Right, race is just a societal construct. Why is it any crazier to self identify as another race if I can be as American as apple pie identifying any gender...or no gender...or both!
If you identify as a homosexual on their applications some pervert at some office is going to expect to fulfill that promise and put out some day.

That's why the last thing the racial grievance industry wants is for race to be determined by genetic testing. Everyone will have a claim and the whole house of cards will fall.
Affirmative Action was supposed to be temporary. Besides that, it was only meant to assure that if a minority member were equal (not inferior) to another applicant, the minority candidate (or both) be admitted.
There shouldn't be affirmative action. It certainly hasn't served blacks. It created a multi-tiered standard of what's "enough" for various groups to be accepted. As a result, blacks haven't had to meet their highest potentials, and colleges got to choose candidates from those minorities that weren't the most qualified. It's created a black super-class that does the bidding for The Masters. (they used to be called "Uncle Toms")

I got what I expected, including what Mom’s family called “Gypsy Blood” from a Great-Great-Grandfather. It’s wonderful family lore, and supported by as much research as possible. Anything out of Eastern Europe is often lost because of the different alphabet and the subjective writing of last names in English at Ellis Island.
Ok. I was just referencing a story from a while ago where it was revealed that those DNA test companies do that.
i had that done, no african for me. My husband, they found a smidge.
