Virgil: Five Takeaways from Capitalisms Kowtow to China
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/10/20/virgil-five-takeaways-from-capitalisms-kowtow-to-china/
I’ll tell you what.
Go into any Walmart. Or anywhere.
If you are not shopping for clothes or food, pretty much everything is from China.
Not all, but a HUGE amount.
Really.
No I didnt thanks for that
And fishing lures.
:)
Good to teach kids the right info... Otherwise they grow up and become liberal. ;-)
Make your kids autodidacts (Self teaching)
Schools shamefully don’t teach this critical skill.
So, what happened? You post nothing but doom and gloom for the US. Obviously this article about China is posted in order to sow discontent with President Trump’s tariffs. Yes really, you’re that obvious. Whatever you were in the past, you now post like a typical neverTrumper.
Sorry; bought a lawn mower there recently made in USA.
Same with several types of tools, including a cordless drill and some LED shop lights.
The clothes continue to be high-percentage made in China, in fact.
Don’t know what Walmart you frequent, but perhaps you should take another look. And I don’t appreciate being called a liar.
Not they dont
“China doesnt innovate they steal.”
You Sir are 100% correct. And that is their Achilles heel. If an actual war with China ever broke out, security on everything, but especially on military projects would suddenly be increased exponentially and China would be mostly cutoff from the high tech military stuff they steal, and their over bureaucratic system severely limits their ability to innovate as effectively, quickly and efficiently as the Western Allies do. And that would be a huge strategic advantage for the West.
They lie about all their numbers and their system is set up as a Ponzi scheme that will collapse if they don’t have high growth.
I did not call you a liar.
But if you don’t think most everything is made in China, I will question your judgement just a bit.
Really. There are exceptions, but they are exceptions now.
Now food we make. Clothes now,
increasingly are made elsewhere. But gobs, and gobs, and gobs of EVERYTHING ELSE are now imported from China.
Really.
Actually you will see I have been consistently, for America, in trade forever.
I do not post doom and gloom.
But we really, really need to make stuff in the USA again.
If you don’t think so, we are on opposite sides.
Simple as that.
If you believe anything the commies say.
“Just saying...”
Fair comment, and worthy of saying. But this ratio, 2:1 is MUCH BETTER than the 4:1 ratio that China has had virtually the entire time since about 1980...so a big improvement for us, but we’re still on the losing side.
Sadly, many conservatives think that China is mostly a Third World country - India is still Third World, China is NOT, not even close. Think Japan as far as development level goes if you want to know where China now is.
Gosh - now you’re officially a Chinese tool...that Trump guy is really running us into the ground.....right?
FWIW, I work at a large multi-national bank that most people have never even heard of. Our bank's economist who is a well respected former member of the Federal Reserve says the exact same thing: China's manipulating the numbers and there is no credibility whatsoever in what they're saying their growth rate is. There never has been.
Anything China says, especially when it comes to economic matters must be taken with a huge grain of salt.
I’m actually, in Vietnam.
I know, I know, but this is one place I really did not know much about, and I like it quite a bit. Actually married a lady here.
So I am American, but I strongly now also support Vietnam.
Not China.
Big, big difference.
:)
Kind of like how folks change the football teams they root for if they relocate.........
Nah.
I just added a team. I am still an insufferable American, at heart.
:)
My claims in post 28 you called “bunk” in post 30, which is tantamount to saying I was lying.
And you are going back to proof by repeated assertion, which is a logical fallacy.
