MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Democratic Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers is calling the Republican-controlled Legislature into a special session to take up a pair of gun control measures that GOP leaders have been unwilling to debate.

The move Evers announced Monday does not force Republicans to debate or vote on the bills. But it does give Democrats another means to spotlight the issues that a poll in August showed more than 80% of the public support.

Over 600,000 registered hunters in Wisconsin.

The problem is Madison—Milwaukee & Racine/Kenosha.

Increase the police presence & indictments & convictions in those areas, and leave the rest of the state alone.

I haven’t purchased a gun for a few years but my last purchase was a pistol from a licensed dealer. I had to wait 48 hours in Wisconsin for a background check before I could take my pistol home. Evers is a moron, but being a Liberal Democrat, we can expect that.

“They did. But Walker shares some blame here. His presidential run was too premature, he simply wasn’t ready, and he had already been in 3 elections beforehand.

Should have ran against Tammy Baldwin in the Senate.

But I’m not worried. Evers is simply a figurehead. The WI legislature is firmly in GOP hands and Evers is in his late 60s and has no political future so he’s basically just an asterisk until we retake the Governorship in 2022.”

My sentiments exactly, EEE.

We just hunker down and wait. Frankly, I’m surprised he hasn’t damaged our economy and run businesses off.

I agree that the presidential run was ill-advised.

“...The WI legislature is firmly in GOP hands ...”

Imagine Wisconsin with Gov. Evers and the legislature...and every other state elected office...firmly in Demokrat hands and you’d have illannoy.
