One thing not mentioned here or in the article;
What happens if Trump out right whens the popular vote?
Think of those really big states (California, New York, etc.) who have passed laws that require all their electoral votes to go to the candidate that wins the popular vote.
What a delicious thought! Everyone in California votes against Trump and those votes are taken away and the Electors are requires to vote for Trump.
That friends is pay back!

You just brought a big smile to my face.
My guess is that the actual electors from those states would decide to become revolutionaries and refuse to cast their votes for Trump.
You see, leftists love to make the rules for others to follow, but they become revolutionaries when _they_ don't like the rules, even if they created them!

I’m sure you’re aware that the national popular vote mandate is not effected until states totaling 270 EV’s pass it; as that has not happened, no states are currently mandated to vote for the national winner...

The electoral votes of NY and CA will still be awarded by the state vote - not the national vote.
