I was coming home on a mountain road. There was a kit fox jumped out in front of me so I wondered how fast it could run. I started to crowd in on it and realized I could get in trouble doing that so I backed off. Then a fast dark shadow came over my truck and a Bald Eagle swooped down on the fox but missed and it went tumbling in the road. It retained its feet and took off a whole lot faster and dove into a culvert.

Took the red eye from Denver home - got in at midnight and still didn't get to bed until 3am. I told the chief pilot that I'm done for the year - got 955 hours in for the year and it was fine with him.
