“The admiral, well-respected for his role in overseeing the operation to kill Al Qaeda terrorist Osama bin Laden in 2011, argues that senior military leaders have lost confidence in the president and...”

Another of the Fraud’s accessories whoring for his crimes against America.”

McRaven asks, without explicitly calling for military intervention in any of the regions mentioned

But is he calling for military intervention in any UNMENTIONED regions, like, inside the Beltway?

“”one retired four-star general, grabbed my arm, shook me and shouted””

WOW - that’s a big part of the military - ONE retired four-star general! Now let’s see all the REAL military officers line up to go on TV with their thoughts about this but I guess no one would want to confront this one, would they?

You can bet he’ll be turning up on CNN and MSNBC, XYZZZZZ

The ramp up of the shrill coup rhetoric from the left has left me gobsmacked.

What would cause someone with a career like this to get so desperate as to pen an op-ed backing REMOVAL of a sitting CIC?

What is going on here?

McRaven has openly acknowledged that the U.S. military is basically a mercenary force that is to be put in the service of foreign interests.

Hopefully that will be the last time I get any grief from a Freeper who criticizes me for my outright refusal to join the U.S. military when the opportunity presented itself years ago.

Does McRaven have his bet in for the Preakness?

Nope, ROTC from University of Texas at Austin in ‘77.

What will happen to them? They will have to stand up for themselves as it seems more and more likely we will have too.

McRaven says the President does not represent American values. The truth is that it is McRaven who has lost sight of those values.

McRaven does not argue that President Trump has done anything wrong in particular, but that he has no respect for America’s values.

The Constitution does not authorize impeachment because someone's "values" are not "respected". Perhaps the Admiral ought to read the Constitution he once swore to uphold.

"McRaven should be facing a firing squad."

He could be. When the coup plotters move against trump, they should face the traditional way of dealing with enemy combatants.

This is the guy that gave Obama great plaudits for being “courageous” for the Bin Laden raid.

Anyway, I’m sure this was timed to bring the heat up on the impeachment as the ‘rats have an all-out push to bring it over the goal line.

McRaven does not argue that President Trump has done anything wrong in particular, but that he has no respect for America’s values. These values, McRaven declares, involve a commitment to “help the weak and stand up against oppression and injustice” around the world.

It's impossible to argue that we ever intervene on behalf of the weak and oppressed when we have a repressive brutal dictatorship 80 miles off the coast of Florida that has exported vicious terrorists throughout the world and lobotomized people for the crime of writing poetry offensive to Castro or the Communist Party... and that dictatorship is safe and sound from any US action because a sizeable portion of our congress is in love with Castro. It's impossible to argue we intervene on behalf of the weak when the only public figure who raised hell about what went on in Rwanda was ...talk show host Rush Limbaugh. It is impossible to argue that we are on the side of the weak and oppressed when Clinton used our military to reinstall a brutal communist dictator in Haiti...and when both parties threw Haitian farmers out of business- and Vietnamese farmers- by dumping huge quantities of American aid grain into their economies making it impossible to sell their home grown grain for a profit. Come on, McRaven, if we really cared about helping the oppressed we would have followed McArthur's example and not Soros' socialist one in the aftermath of a conflict.

I’ve run into a number of anti Trump, anti Israel naval officers.
Kind of shocked me actually

It is only about one year to the election, let the people decide who will be their president. The Admiral better pay attention to what the Democratic candidates for POTUS are promising as any of them would quickly end our Republic and Constitution.

God help us, I mean God help if there are people leading our military who think like this dipshit...

“These values, McRaven declares, involve a commitment to “help the weak and stand up against oppression and injustice” around the world. “

Right now, unless America is the strongest nation in the world, we can help anyone.

Trump knows this. You have no leverage, zip, none if you’re not the strongest. If you’re strongest, simply the threat of doing something gets results.

So, IOWs this POS is giving the green light to someone in the military to kill Trump?

“[W]hat will happen to the Kurds, the Iraqis, the Afghans, the Syrians, the Rohingyas, the South Sudanese and the millions of people under the boot of tyranny or left abandoned by their failing states?” McRaven asks, without explicitly calling for military intervention in any of the regions mentioned.

How about Hillary returning the practice of slavery to Egypt? Or the #saveourgirls response to Boko Haram abducting hundreds of schoolgirls - Boko Haram only existing because our government was afraid that shooting Somali pirates on site looked bad in the press, and terrorism in general running rampant because our government leaders are too gutless to treat terrorists in a traditional fashion, preferring instead to equate them with uniformed soldiers or worse, to give them all the rights of US citizens, including the right to remain silent about the next planned attack?

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the militaryindustrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."

President Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1961

Thank you for those insights.

This guy obviously speaks for the military-industrial complex that Eisenhower so wisely warned us about.
