How do they know who has an AR15?

Firstly, they would confiscate all the records of FFLs and then they would know.

80% receivers don't have 4473's They are "ghost guns". Currently legal, as long as you don't try to sell it.

'Course, I wouldn't know ANYTHING about the millions of paperweights that other people buy...

Now, a 6.5 Grendel, with a 24" barrel, out to 800 yards...

You’re right; they’d raid the FFLs first, for ALL records.

They already know what handguns and Class 3 firearms we have, through ATF Form 4473 - Firearms Transaction Record Revisions, but long guns usually don’t require that.
