So true. They won’t even vote to hold an inquiry because then the GOP would have subpoena power and first up would be Hunter Biden. Followed closely by Adam Schiff.
I say you are wrong. The whole reason for not voting for a formal impeachment inquiry is to keep the Republicans and PDJT from being able to call witnesses and subpoena documents. The plan is to write articles of impeachment based on their one sided “inquiry”. Once that is done then the whole house has to vote whether to approve the articles and send it to the Senate. The impeachment inquiry is then dead and no more investigation will occur in the House.
Now, the Senate can, (I’ve not heard this discussed yet), determine that the Articles of Impeachment are insufficient and that the House did not provide Due Process. At that point McConnel could direct the Senate committees to hold evidentiary hearings on the basis of the Article of Impeachment, calling witnesses that the House called and witnesses that were not called, subpoena documents etc. All of this must be done in public hearings, no behind closed doors and all transcripts of witnesses deposed/interviewed and documents subpoenaed or collected by the House must be turned over to the committees and PDJT.
McConnel can state that before they consider the Articles of Impeachment and go to a trial they will hold, what in the court system is call a preliminary hearing, which allows both sides to present evidence in order to determine if the charges should be dismissed.
This, of course will slow down the process, which is not what the Dems want. They need it to go fast in order to prevent PDJT’s side to be presented to the public which will debunk the Articles of Impeachment.

There is very little information on that site. It appears to be a call for volunteers and a fundraising pitch.
The project seems very ambitious. My assessment is "too little, too late". A Leftist demonstration would unveil their website with transportation captains already in place, along with sign-up pages for at least a half dozen States and some free lodging available. Of course, the Leftists have a very skilled professional cadre of full-time organizers, many of whom are paid a modest living wage for their work.
We aren't going to beat them with street demonstrations.

From what I see in my dealings as a military contractor, the answer to that is "yes". The field grades and general officers are mostly leftest. The troops will follow their orders, just as they are trained to do.

The only chance McConnel has of presiding over a satisfactory outcome (to us) is to dismiss the Articles of Impeachment based on a summary ruling that they were improperly delivered to the Senate - which may in fact turn out to be the case. The Democrats may very well attempt to deliver the Articles straight from committees without a full vote of the House. "Deemed passed" as Nancy Pelosi has been known to say.
If the Democrats do manage to deliver the Articles after a full vote of the House, it will be an unmistakable indicator to all factions that existing plans must be advanced with deployment of people and supplies.
Note that deployments will include far-left extremist factions of the Democrat party in addition to those of the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy". Behind the screening groups of idiot soy-boys and the Antifa cos-players are some extremely skillful and ruthless people with access to money, weapons, and fighters. They aren't going to back down while they have that access.

Another option is for McConnel to send the Articles of Impeachment back to the House stating that until there is Due Process afforded to PDJT in the House process/inquiry, then the Senate will not accept the “indictment” because it is deficient in facts based on the applicable law/s and lacks fairness to the accused.
I knew this on election night 2018.
And the Trump base wants GOPe gone. How are they going to get elected to dogcather without Trump's base. The Republican establishment is facing their do or die moment.
Of course, they are dithering, like they always have.
Let’s urge them to vote! Then, once we know who all these traitors are, let’s make sure that they are challenged at next year’s election, and everyone of them are booted from Congress.
Agree and I don't think the October 17th effort is going to do much. What we need is millions of supporters surrounding the Capitol with torches and pitchforks to show what is going to happen to the Representatives and many others if they continue with their coup attempt. They think they can betray the country and live large. They need an education on what their lives will be like if the people rise up.
I have to back off on my earlier criticism. They do indeed have a well-organized transportation plan which appears now on their website.
They also have monitors to keep track of the participants and deal with any obnoxious behavior from participants or opponents.

Not over Trump it wont. It will take more than this for the average American who is seeing full employment and more satisfaction with life to take up arms against the democrats and DC.
Do they really think it helps them to be publicly declaring that they, as the jury, will already vote guilty, before they even see any evidence?
DOesn’t that just prove to America that they don’t care about truth, that impeachment is a trial looking for a crime?
