Similar case was that of Michael Drejka in Clearwater, Florida. Guy with personal problems, carried a gun, had threatened people before over nothing, appoints himself guardian of handicap parking spaces, gets into it with a dude who parked in one without a placard or sticker, guy went back to his car, made some kind of move that Mr. Drejka claimed was threatening, so Drejka shot him in the chest. Guy died.
Sheriff originally called it a “stand your ground” case, but the States Attorney disagreed. Trial ended with a guilty verdict on August 23, 2019, 37 days ago. Drejka will be sentenced in 11 days. He faces a maximum sentence of 30 years.

You left out the part where the much bigger guy (the one who died) violently shoved Drejka to the ground. They BOTH screwed up big time that day.
