Afghanistan is a “shithole.” It was one before we got there and will be one long after we leave. The Chinese will own Afghanistan. How many Chinese youthshave died there?

Everything else you’ve said is spot on. As for Afghanistan being a shithole. I can attest to that, I’ve been there.
At this point, we have two choices, IMHO...
Be the ‘Colonialist’ that we’ve been accused of and take what we want.
Pull out, take all our stuff with us, find out where all the Afghani’s have been hiding the money they’ve been stealing for years and take it back.
No need for any service member to get a sprained ankle, let alone die, in that God forsaken place.
