The deep state got two real infusions that got it going. First was Clinton - Gore who brought us the new media, the spin cycle, talking points and all that. Then they brought us reinventing America which was about privatizing government. This had nothing to do with bringing competitive efficiencies to government operations, but rather allowing more, especially left supporting, contractors to dip their beaks into the public fisc.

What really got the whole mess going though was Bush/Cheney, the neocons, 9/11, DHS and the Iraq invasion, all of which grew the DC Beltway contracting business into the behemoth we see today. Remember these guys don't do anything. They don't build airplanes, tanks, ships or anything. They do paper studies.

To buy the support of the left for the Iraq invasion Bush / Cheney let the left have whatever they wanted, so long as they had a free hand in Iraq - doubling down on the strategic blunder of the Age.

And don't think that Cheney and his friends didn't make out like bandits from Iraq. Our modern Army goes nowhere without contractors to provide housing, logistics, technical expertise, etc.

Yeehaaa! Round 'em up and rope 'em in baby. The taxpayers never knew what hit them. So I have no use for progressives. But Bush/Cheney - the spit in my mouth from those two dissolves concrete.

It was during the GWH Bush admin that the Plan for North Mexico (aka USA) was hatched.
Diluting the citizens with Spanish speaking peoples from south of the border became policy carried through the next 3 Presidents.

To buy lefty political support, Bush/Cheney gave the left carte blanche AND a WH office; (the buzz is Bush agreed to the Iraq invasion BEFORE the election).

The pols had a free hand in Iraq - doubling down on the strategic blunder of the Age. RESULT: war profiteering was gargantuan....a modern Army goes nowhere without "contractors" to provide housing, logistics, technical expertise, etc.

One Bush aide was fired when he suggested the $500m estimate to invade was too low.......as trillions poured in....(we are still counting).

Neocon godfather Richard Perle was ready and waiting in Paris....sipping chilled Cristal, dining on truffled game hen.

Perle's war profits were so huge, he started his own oil company.......which probably was the real intent of the conniving neocons.

It's funny that with a name like AndyJackson, you think this corrupt deep state started in the 1990s.

You should read up on Andrew Jackson's opinion of the money powers, and their "national bank."

.

.

.

"After eight years as President I have only two regrets: that I have not shot Henry Clay or hanged John C. Calhoun."

Henry Clay was Lincoln's mentor, and instilled in him the economic policy of "mercantilism", which was basically funneling government money into private corporation hands.

John Calhoun was the primary advocate of Southern secession (to get away from the mercantilists who wanted their money to flow into Northern power brokers pockets) and Jackson was very much against secession.

"You are a den of vipers. I intend to rout you out and by the Eternal God I will rout you out. If the people only understood the rank injustice of our money and banking system, there would be a revolution before morning."

Jackson was very aware of the powerful money men who effectively ran a shadow government through influence.

From the earliest ages of history to the present day there never have been thirteen millions of people associated in one political body who enjoyed so much freedom and happiness as the people of these United States. You have no longer any cause to fear danger from abroad... It is from within, among yourselves - from cupidity, from corruption, from disappointed ambition and inordinate thirst for power.

Jackson knew the Hamiltonians were dangerous.

"I weep for the liberty of my country when I see at this early day of its successful experiment that corruption has been imputed to many members of the House of Representatives, and the rights of the people have been bartered for promises of office."

.

.

.

I am one of those who do not believe that a national debt is a national blessing, but rather a curse to a republic; inasmuch as it is calculated to raise around the administration a moneyed aristocracy dangerous to the liberties of the country.

.

.

.

"The mischief springs from the power which the monied interest derives from a paper currency which they are able to control, from the multitude of corporations with exclusive privileges which they have succeeded in obtaining, and unless you become more watchful in your states and check this spirit of monopoly and thirst for exclusive privileges you will in the end find that the most important powers of government have been given or bartered away."

And one more.

"The bank...is trying to kill me, but I will kill it!"
