If anything, September 17th should be commemorated, for that’s when the Russians invaded Poland.
The Russians were brutal in Poland. Much worse than the Germans. Why weren’t they charged with war crimes?
The Polish people suffered terribly. Many of their smartest, brightest and best were killed in the two invasions. There are still a lot of very smart Poles around. Be careful if you ever play bridge with them.
