No kidding, Lee Harvey Oswald wasn't around to assassinate the Archduke.

Just damn, WWI started in 1914, and we didn't get involved militarily until 1917.

Doesn't anyone care about history anymore? To answer that question, I queried several of my coworkers on June 19, aka Juneteenth in Texas.

I told them that the reason why it took so long for the message to get to Texas is the North cut the South's internet feed, and they had to use Pony Express to send the message to Texas that slavery was abolished.

The blank stares I got were hilarious.

Two weeks prior, I quizzed them on the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Less than half got the answer right. I really lit into them on that day, and it wasn't much better the week of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon.
