Beto Admits He Will Forcefully Confiscate Firearms If He’s Elected President (VIDEO)
2020 Democrat hopeful Robert “Beto” O’Rourke announced he will enact “red flag laws” and forcefully confiscate AK-47’s and AR-15’s if he’s elected president of the United States.
“And more importantly and politically difficult to say, buy those weapons of war back — mandate that — not voluntarily. Let’s be clear with our fellow Americans. No place for an AK-47 or an AR-15 on the streets of our communities,” Beto said during an appearance on MSNBC on Sunday.
In contrast the Bermuda high was not moving much and merely strengthening (or weakening) causing more (or less) mid level winds pushing Dorian to the west. The track forecast depended on the strength of the Bermuda high, not the position of the upper low.

True: http://www.policlimate.com/tropical/ The blue line is dropping. But note also that the green line is steady or rising a bit though not as much as the blue line is dropping. That means that while the environment is less favorable for hurricanes (more shear, more mid-level dry air, etc) those hurricanes that form are more likely, on average, to become major hurricanes.
That seems to be playing out in the Atlantic as well with fewer hurricanes but a spate of cat-5's in the last three years. However we can't evaluate today's cat-5's against the numerous cat-4's of late 1920's and early 30's. Back then there were no satellites and no hurricane hunters to measure the absolutely strongest wind gust. The estimates for those older hurricanes come from eyewitnesses and damage and are biased by a lot less population and development.
