Trump says Comey decision proves Barr is 'fair and reasonable'

President Trump maintained Friday that the Justice Department's decision not to prosecute former FBI Director James Comey over his mishandling of official memos showed fairness on the part of Attorney General William Barr. "The fact that James Comey was not prosecuted for the absolutely horrible things he did just shows how fair and reasonable Attorney General Bill Barr is," Trump tweeted. "So many people and experts that I have watched and read would have taken an entirely different course. Comey got Lucky!"

I'm sorry Mr. President, but Americans like myself want traitors hung and seditionists hung or put in jail.

Question is, will he also be fair and reasonable regarding Comey lying to the FISA court?

Joe De Genova gave Barr a big thumbs up yesterday on the Hannity show.

It is blatantly obvious that numerous crimes were committed. For one thing, there are numerous instances of violating civil rights of individuals under color of law.

Barr is simply administering the walkback from the coup. It is obviously an agreement that the coup plotters will not be imprisoned or shot (as should be normal), and in return, we got the weak tea Mueller report and an IG report that confirmed Trump is not a Russian spy.

Then everyone walks away.

I’ve posted this elsewhere but I’ll do it again because we should keep perspective on the fact that indictments and prosecutions are not the end of the story:

No one is going to be brought up on charges until the case is so slam-dunk that a jury of 12, partially selected by a billion dollar (funded by Soros, so maybe muti-billion dollar) Dream Team of defense lawyers, will absolutely convict...all 12 of them without one single exception.

Why so high a bar? Because if you indict and bring charges, and the perp is let off - even on a technicality, let alone by Left-Wing jury nullification (remember O.J.?), then we are FAR worse off than if charges are never brought. Then the likes Comey and all the others are EXONERATED and they become completely justified in their actions.

You think no indictments are bad? Try exoneration of their actions on for size. You can’t just indict. You MUST win convictions or you are far worse off than when you started.

Numerous crimes were committed. The intel community was turned AGAINST our nation. People like Flynn were framed under duress. A spy ring was found operating against our President.

There is no justification for not arresting them.

The true meaning of this all depends on what Trump knows is coming.

His ear is pretty close to the ground. I can’t imagine him not knowing how angry this makes us.

I have to think he knows the lid is soon to blow off, and then when Barr does take action, he will be seen as having no other choice.

If nothing happens to these people, then it will affect my overall view of Trump.

This “S” needs to be put down, forcefully.

More like middle-fingering his supporters. I have zero faith anyone from the left/deep state are going to be punished. One side is fighting a civil war, and the other side is pretty much neutered.

I want to believe that Trump is saying this so that everyone agrees with him (on the left) with Trump knowing what is coming...then when Barr brings charges on the next group of CRIMES that Comey participated in they will all have said that Barr was fair and reasonable person so he must be now that he is bringing charges...

one can hope right?

YOU should run for President! Run on the Hang the Traitors platform.

I think with that slogan you have a real shot at beating President Trump in the primaries, then going on to win the general! Yeah, that’s the ticket!

Sheesh...

You are unfortunately correct. The reality is that leftists violating the law can no longer be successfully prosecuted. It’s the OJ Simpson problem.

You cannot get an all Conservative jury in New York or DC. There is zero chance of a change of venue to Lubbock Tx. And communist party members (Dems) will simply not vote guilty no matter what evidence is produced. That means rule of law is dead, and now the law is merely a weapon to use against Conservatives and nothing else.

That leaves some bleak choices when they come after us...

I agree. I'm choosing to hold out hope that this "fair and reasonable" is a set up for when they DO take action on the FISA IG report.

I’ve been saying for months that Comey wasn’t going to prosecuted over these NYT leaks. The biggest complicating factor here was that a prosecutor would have to prove that the contents of the Comey memos were TRUE in order to get a conviction for leaking classified material. Since Comey’s memos documented alleged conversations with President Trump, this could only happen if Trump was called as a witness in a trial ... and that wasn’t going to happen in a million years.

This is like saying you’re not a racist because you hired the black guy. See, we didn’t prosecute the criminal so look how fair we are. Letting the enemy establish the rules leads to ruin. A little bit disappointed.

You might not have noticed, but Trump is only about 605 “President” at best. The GOPe in Congress could remove him in a week if they chose.

They have obviously made a deal that he may sit at the White House, get some of his agenda but not all. And he must agree to be surrounded by swarms of globalists. The REPUBLICAN party has obviously given him some definite limits. Enforcement the plotters is one. After Comey he was likely told “never again”.

Looking at what Comey did piece-by-piece, that may be reasonable. Looking at the whole thing in context, you had a group of individuals working in a conspiracy to unseat a sitting President. To my understanding, that would be sedition. I wonder if Barr is keeping his powder dry to go to the real heart of the matter: a conspiracy against the President of the United States. That is a hang ‘em by the neck crime that should not go unpunished.
