If they are here legally, we would want them to be able to work, in general, IMO.
Immigrants shouldn’t be able to get welfare benefits, IMO.
Refugees can get welfare benefits under the Refugee Convention we are still bound to.
Refugees have a general right to seek gainful employment under the Convention.
