We are indeed not far from a Stock market drop of 50% or so over the next 18 month and a recession similar to 1983/84.
The Auto Industry, now, like then was the first to go. Next will be Oil. $20~$30 per barrel maybe lower.

Actually, it’s all beside the point. None of the current candidates have even a slim chance of beating President Trump.
Given the demographics and the Dem inherent advantage in the Electoral College, the Dems will be competitive regardless of the nominee. The Dems have won the popular vote in 6 out of the last 7 Presidential elections. They start out with a lock on the higher number of electoral votes. The 2020 race will be close.
First, I agree. None of the Democrats could possibly beat President Trump.
So why, UC, do the Chuck Todds and Jake Tappers keep repeating that he does, that all of the Democrats currently on the list could beat Trump?
I just got done talking to my brother-in-law, father of Matthew, a kid who swears he’s going to be President just as soon as he turns 35. Already he was appointed to serve on some sort of mini-UN and insert smile here, don’t forget my granddaughter, Matthew’s age, who is currently in the JR ROTC Marines.
The thought makes me smile.
It was a difficult conversation because BIL (brother-in-law) Mike lives , guess where? Massachusetts!
Now he’s quite conservative and so is his mother, my MIL. Mike says he likes Trump but thinks he’s a bit caustic.
Thus a verbal rant....”Look at Mitt Romney!” (once Governor of Massachusetts)...”HE WAS NICE! Where did that get him?” I told him I cannot stand Dubya, lookit at how unfair they treated him over Katrina and Iraq.
Mike said he agrees with me, Republicans got to get tough. so why is Trump too caustic for him?
I think it’s because he’s from Massachusetts. They probably kill you up there if you even mention Trump with any sort of smile or approval. My MIL lives in a nursing home and she says she never mentions Trump’s name in public.
What a nutty country we’ve become.

I don’t listen to him too often, but this was pretty obvious - apparently people started asking on Twitter also.
I have it recorded. Calling it back up because I thought there was something odd about his speech too.
We are a long ways off from a 50% drop in stocks. Where else will you get anything for your investment capital? The entire world is beginning to realize that the good old United States is the safest and best bet. Sure there will be hiccups along the way, however for long term growth and prosperity you won’t go wrong with a diversified portfolio of American businesses.
