Just two taxpayer-funded schools serve the quaint town of Sausalito, California. There's a charter school where a plurality of the students are white, and a traditional district school where almost no one is.

Can we still buy a “that little girl was me” shirt with a scowling Kamala Harris as a child? I never bought one of those shirts.

so now what’s going to happen, is that everyone who can will withdraw their children from the charter school and send them to a newly established, private school supported by private tuition payments, and then all of those parents will abandon support for the public school system, including fighting all tax increases and voting down all bond funding ...

Also, it should be noted that Marin is also the California county with the highest percentage of Jewish residents, at 10%. Perhaps there is a correlation?

This is right next to the city where Soph lived before she got banned.

Lots of people from the ultra-Marxist, RICH as hell school district were threatening her life, doxxing her, etc.

If you are a conservative there, they make your life a living hell.

“benefits children of all races. It finds children of color do better academically, and white students do no worse.”

Bull Hockey.

EVERYBODY except politicos that dont have to send their kids to the bad school know this statement is not true.

Good stufents get dummed down. Bad students disrupt and KNOW they cant keep up. This crapola damages all involved.

Traditional public schools are terrible. Check out Epic Charter Schools from Oklahoma. The NEA, public schools, and leftist hate Epic because it gives parents of any race a choice of their child’s curriculum.

We are doing this in some areas and pushing for home schooling with free internet access to the online classes.

These people have the resources to protect their children from the gulag that are government schools.
And that is exactly what they will do.
My parents doled out a half million to keep their grandchildren out of public schools.
I was born here, but I still hate California.

Hmmm... Well I am no defender of public schools. We desperately need to switch to a voucher system. The white liberal parents know how to play politics better to get their kids into the charter school.

But I smell some word games in the intro. A “plurality” of kids in the charter school are white - that would mean a majority of them are non-white.

Born and raised and live in California. Whatever Senator Harris has to say about it, I was bused to several distant elementary schools for a couple of years despite living just a few blocks in a straight line from my local school - in the name of “diversity”. All my “white” friends who had parents involved in bake sales and the PTA somehow escaped that fate.

Probably taught me to be wary of government and bureaucratic decision-making at an early age. They also took me away from my friends and denied me an opportunity to bond with the neighborhood kids. I should sue. Emotional distress.

Marin City was built during WWII to house shipyard workers, many of whom were black. After the war, they were unable to settle elsewhere in Marin County due to deed restrictions that prohibited the sale of property to blacks. Racial segregation in ultra-liberal Marin County--who would have thunk it?

Marin County is the home of Gov Gavin Newsom. Wonder where his kids went to school?

Average real estate sale in Sausalito is $1,300,000, which is surprisingly low for Marin. Average rent is $4700. On the edge of Sausalito but completely separate is a place called Marin City, a large housing project, where no whites live, only poor blacks. But the school district is the same. Therefore if you have children in public school there and you are rich, you probably find a different place to educate them.
I have a few white friends who used to go regularly to the Marin City Church of God. For the music. They were the only white people there.

Ah, Marin City, thanks. I could not figure out where a black school district might be located in Sausalito. Sausalito is a small town.

Well actually, this is true-ish. Standards tend to be lowered, so the colored children naturally 'do better', while the white kids tend to fall a bit, but it matches the lower standards so they seem to stay even. Generally it's usually the Asian kids that are unaffected, and appear to 'do better', since they maintain at the old standard.
