The largest U.S. Lutheran denomination announced this week that it would become a "sanctuary church."
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) said in a statement Wednesday that it is "committed to work toward just and humane policies affecting migrants in and outside the U.S."
The ELCA is the first North American denomination to become a sanctuary church body, according to the statement.
According to CNN, besides sheltering undocumented immigrants, the church will also respond to raids, fight deportation cases and give "radical hospitality" to immigrants.
The ELCA will also work on resources for the denomination's more than 9,000 congregations "to help them explore and develop sanctuary ministries," the news network reported, citing church officials.

As for my own churchgoing, I tried to attend a Bible study at Lighthouse Ministries south of my town last week, but nobody was there. The sign outdoors hadn’t been changed in awhile, so maybe that church is going bye-bye. Maybe Cavalry United Methodist downtown near my house would be a good fit, especially since the African delegates helped preserve various traditions in the Church as a whole earlier this year.
Ironically, the sign outside LM says, “In case of Rapture, this sign will not change.” As far as I know, there has not been a mass disappearance of devout Christians lately.

For the Methodists, don’t hope for too much, most of the American churches are thoroughly heretical.
Looks for the rainbow, it’s usually in a flag or banner or vestments or altar cloth. If you see it it is a sure sign the church is controlled by Satan. God is gracious in warning us about Satan’s presence, although these deluded people think the rainbow is a symbol of “Pride” and that somehow that is good even though it is a deadly sin.
In the classic movie Bedazzled the nebbish guy (Dudley Moore) said to Satan (Peter Cook), who had done upsetting things to several people in sequence, how come you didn’t do anything to that vicar down there?

When churches get paid millions to take care of and support illegals this will be the ultimate and intended outcome. It inevitably becomes a profit center for churches and ultimately money wins and society loses.

Our government has the right, in fact a duty, to come up with reasoned laws to handle “LEGAL” means of entry into this nation.
We are seeing the effects of there being no laws. There have to be some and they have to be abided by.
For a church to defy that, is wrong.
The church can offer sanctuary; maybe they will respect your property.How are you going to teach them Romans 13? It is not the Government’s job to offer sanctuary. Nor bypass those applying according to the rules.
