The White House is closely monitoring a situation described by an administration official as a “congregation of Chinese forces on Hong Kong’s border,” according to a report Tuesday.

The reason for the buildup, which includes the Chinese military or armed police, was not clear but came amid violent protests in the region, Bloomberg reported.

China is getting stronger, and stronger, and stronger, due to our MASSIVE trade deficit with them.

Mr. President, enact serious trade barriers.

Now.

I don’t know what they were thinking in Hong Kong, but they should have known that this was not going to end well, not with China.

Hong Kong Independence was possible when the Brits gave it back. Not now. Was stupid then and it is now.

Plenty of Republicans are also sold out to China.

Lots, and lots, and lots.

Democrats, and Republicans, are all sold out to China.

This has been going on for nearly thirty years now.

Really.

Slaughtering people in one of the biggest cities in China will not work out well for them in the eyes of the other Chinese. Bad economy and stormtrooping other Chinese? Beginning of the end of the Commie Rats!

A complete Chinese takeover of Hong Kong was always inevitable. It made sense for the PRC to let Hong Kong have some semblance of semi-autonomy to keep foreign investments coming in, but that was decades ago. In 2019, the PRC knows that money will come in regardless of what they do to the people of Tibet or to their own people in Tiananmen Square, let alone Hong Kong. All we will do is “closely monitor” - at least this time we won’t have the pathetic spectacle of Brent Scowcroft flying in to raise a glass to the dictators.

Duh. Not clear to whom? It’s clear to anyone with any knowledge of what’s been going on.

Here is an article based on UK diplomatic information regarding Tiananmen Square, over 10,000 killed:

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-42465516

“Students linked arms but were mown down including soldiers. APCs then ran over bodies time and time again to make ‘pie’ and remains collected by bulldozer. Remains incinerated and then hosed down drains.

We need to let Japan have her vicious Military back. We could start by gifting Japan one of our Gerald Ford Aircraft carrier strike forces. Just let Japan have steep discounts on all of our military gear. Better to let the Japanese have control of Asia. Atleast they could balance out China for us

Didn’t change anything after Tiananmen. People know what happened there and turn a blind eye.

The HK guy with the “we need a 2nd amendment” sign gets it. Without the ability to defend themselves it will be another massacre.

Just sit back and let China’s totalitarian instincts take over and suppress Hong Kong. That will torch what’s left of their foreign trade in short order - they cannot afford to have another Tiananmen Square incident, but they can’t avoid it. This will force the ‘woke’ US companies to pull production out and even the unwoke ones will have to move.

Just FYI, none of our other actual allies want to see a Japan so equipped and disposed - we would then drive South Korea and others into the arms of China. Brilliant!
