I simply do not see the problem. The Almighty invented bacon specifically to go on burgers.
Not just burgers. Bacon is a great addition to all sorts of meat dishes because the high fat content of the bacon helps keep other lean meats juicy while they cook.
Take a meatloaf for example. Try cooking one without wrapping it in bacon and you get a dry, tough, bland mess.
