I chose “Taxman” as my FR handle when I quit lurking on 2 Nov 1998 because at the time, I was living in the WDC area and was an Evil Inside the Beltway Lobbyist for the National Retail Sales Tax, now the FAIRtax.

I’ve been an activist for the NRST since April 17, 1991 when I read Pat Buchanan’s op-ed piece “A tax whose time has gone?”

I no longer live inside the Evil Belway, but I still am a NRST activist!
