The U.S. women's national soccer team is back on home soil following its victorious World Cup run in France. The last time the team was in this position, in 2015, it couldn't wait to celebrate with President Obama. But, it's a different story this year. Megan Rapinoe, one of the most vocal and recognizable players on the team, has already told the press she's "not f***ing going" to Trump's White House. As one of the openly gay players on the team, she doesn't believe Trump represents LGBT citizens. It's one of the reasons she's also refused to recite the national anthem. Trump responded to her on Twitter, insisting she was getting ahead of herself. She had to actually win the tournament first before he offers them an invitation.
In a joint interview with teammate and co-captain Alex Morgan on ESPN on Tuesday, Rapinoe insisted she's "held up her end of the bargain." Morgan also chimed in and said, "it's clear who won" the battle.
Morgan also addressed the team's White House controversy upon their return on Monday. A Trump invitation is probably not one she'd accept, she said, because she "doesn't stand for" many of the policies he's enforced.

The other players are being just as reserved in regards to a potential White House visit.
"It's a conversation we need to have as a team," Kelley O'Hara said on CNN on Tuesday.
Former U.S. World Cup champion Julie Foudy expects that there are "a couple" of people on the team who do believe they should visit the White House, but it needs to be a collective decision.
Trump has yet to extend an invitation, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, have offered the players one of their own. Pelosi was pleased to invite the players to Capitol Hill "by popular demand on both sides of the aisle," she announced.
But again, the players said they need to have a conversation. They haven't had much time to do that, considering their whirlwind media tour.
"Of course, it would be great to do something as a team together like that, but we haven't even had time to talk about that," Morgan said.
It all makes perfect sense if you consider any professional entertainer/athlete as “society’s house pets” and liberals as society’s “cat ladies.”
"Our women!"😂
You misspelled "lesbian."
I didn't say they were a random 15 year old high school team. Yet you say I did. Then you claim I lie. 😂
Bro, it's you.
If the watching the lesbian team is your thing, go right ahead.
It's still the same as the World's Tallest Midget.
Go, don’t go. Do you really think anyone but you, including Trump, gives a good sh!t. Congratulations on winning the World Cup. You’ve had your 15 minutes of fame. Now do something else and go away. Or show up at the WH. Whatever.
This is also why the U.S. womens hockey team is so good. In countries like Russia and the Czech Republic with dominant mens hockey teams, the women who love hockey would rather watch the men play than play hockey themselves.
Isn’t this the team that trashed the US flag at a stadium of fans chanting F/Trump?
No invite bitches
No one, and I mean no one cares about womens soccer.
All any visit would be is just another opportunity for democrats to again prove they are classless bigots.
Ignore them, they have already left the building...
To quote Diamond and Silk, “he’s your president!”
Looks like PDJT won. Who cares about the soccer. Plus, you still have purple hair and look stupid wearing your sunglasses indoors.
Carli Lloyd is not a lesbian you moron. There are 6 open lesbians and 7 married women on that team, the other 10 I don’t know and don’t care. I don’t care whom they sleep with I just like to watch them play soccer. But the point is, people like you are a walking, talking, confirmation of the caricature that leftists paint of all conservatives when in fact we’re not all like you, some of us actually think and reason things out, but not selfish moron’s like you.
Homos suck.
I would too. But lets face facts, none of these women are the pointiest arrows in the quiver, if you know what I mean. All except Horan and Pugh went the college route so the rest of them have been thouroughly brainwashed by their leftist college profs and coaches. Yes, publicly announcing your support for all policies progressive is now a prerequisite to getting, or keeping, a college coaching job. My point is these women are nothing more than soccer players, they’re not very bright or thoughtful about any issue because they, like all millenials have been educated since kindergarten to view everything through the prism of emotionalism and progressivism. And these are the kinds of dolts our education system turns out. I work in the shipbuilding industry and am constantly amazed by how stupid the recent graduates from college are. It’s pathetic what’s being graduated from colleges now a days. Maybe because I am exposed to so many millenials that think the same way rapino does, I am no longer shocked by that kind of attitude. I would say 70 to 75 percent of the recent college grads I come into contact with are simply ignorant of any subject but themselves.
I understand what you are saying. However, none of her team mates has come out (at least as far as I have seen) and opposed her views. I’ve always loved soccer. Most Americans have not played soccer and aren’t vey interested in it.
So when Rapinoe takes center stage with no dissension from her teammates, America (and this is based on my experience in talking with people) views the US women’s team as a bunch of angry, PC BS, anti-American lesbians. Supposedly, the concern among women players is pay equality (and that’s a whole different subject, not going to happen). And they think to willingly let one or two players spit on our country is the best way to achieve this?! Their “team” is a sad joke.
We seriously need a like button.
BTTT
Yeah, Trump.
Hope Ms. Rapinoe enjoys her visit to the U.S. Senate at the invitation of its prestigious minority leader.
I don’t recall ever in my life watching a women’s soccer game.
Like you say....long stretches of time with nothing but kicking a ball back and forth. Sometimes someone gets lucky and get the ball close enough to kick at the goal. The vast majority of times, not. I mean vast, vast, vast majority.
And a few times a game a goal, and no real connection at all to all those endless minutes of kicking a ball back and forth. Goals are totally unrelated to any other part of the game.
Many women professional athletes go to Europe to earn a living. Europe fans actually turn out to watch them.
WNBA players get paid quite well over there.
I say, if you can get paid over there, feel free to go over and stay there.
What bloviation.
If you like your angry, unpatriotic, lesbian soccer team, you can keep it.
Others disagree with your choice.
Plus, in comparison to Middle School Boys, they suck.
Now shut up. Your shallow idiocy bores most of us and we do not care what you think or what you do. Now, go away please!
Trump should demand legislation for equal pay among professional sports people. That will quickly demonstrate how socialism works. Within a couple of years, there will be no professional sports teams, let alone working stadiums.
This is why there is less parity in CFL, and also why high school football outside the trad Friday Night Football states (mostly SEC/ACC) has become mediocre. Worse than mediocre.
Meanwhile soccer is a free ticket to a Big 10 school for that second-string nose guard, when maybe just the lower-tier Big 10 football programs would have offered him a spot on the squad.
But when you have a "US Soccer" team captained by a lesbian who recruits lesbians and then encourages them to act out despite representing the US, next year that second-string nose guard just might say 'f*** soccer, f*** those dykes' and suit up again at Northwestern.
When I meet a TDS sufferer who is willing to discuss things reasonably I always ask what exactly has Trump done to make you hate him. When n.v they start rattling on about his tweets, his speeches...I stop them and say not what he’s said. What has he done. Usually they mention the border, but I tell them Obama did the same. At that point it becomes Ralph Kramden’s ...hummada hummada hummada.
