Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) does not believe it should be a criminal offense to cross the border illegally, she said during an interview with the California Nation podcast, which was posted Monday. While the presidential candidate hit a number of issues during the broad discussion, Section 1325 of the immigration code, which makes it a criminal offense for people to cross the border illegally, became a highlight.

Preferably weekends, between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., when she can usually be found on the veranda of her weekend house at 5327 Pine Avenue (take the Pennville off-ramp, turn right at the first gas station, and proceed three and a half miles until you reach the estate). There's an access gate often left unlocked at the northwest corner of the property, and nearby a large juniper bush where one or more assailants could lie low until it gets dark enough.

But I'm not saying that anyone should actually do that!

Having fallen in love with Australia during the first of my many visits (1979) I started to make an application for permission to settle there a few years back.Early in the process (on the government's official website) I learned that there was no way I would be approved under the "points" system because 1) I was too old and 2) because I didn't have a skill that was in demand.

Maybe what I'll do is enter Indonesia on a tourist visa and start swimming...
