As patriots, we must root for anyone who is wearing the American flag on their jersey. But I’ve gotta confess – some of the women on the U.S. Soccer team have made that very hard to do.
It’s bad enough that some of them have disrespected the national anthem and others have cursed the president. It’s bad enough that many of them plan to boycott the White House visit.
But when Allie Long threw the American flag on the ground on national television — that is beyond disrespect.
“She knew exactly what she was doing, but just didn’t give a damn,” one sports fan noted on Instagram. “Damn amazing disrespect for a photo op.”
“Absolutely disgraceful,” wrote another. “Playing sports, you are taught at a young age to be respectful to the flag and our country.”
Thank goodness for the teammate who rushed over to retrieve the desecrated flag.
And perhaps the next time U.S. Soccer decides to field a team – maybe – just maybe – they could select soccer players who actually love the nation they will be representing.

In any case, looking at it again, the definite American flag hater, Megan Rapinoe, seemed to be trying to push the flag aside as they were getting ready for the photo.
They are auditioning for spokes person jobs with Nike or interns with Democrat politicians. I’m just sayin’.

At first glance, I thought the title was a bit much. “tosses flag to the ground”? It looked like she dropped it.
Upon further review, I’ve made a 180. At first I hadn’t noticed that the anti-American dykebitch was right next to her and directing the action. It may have been planned all along.
There was no audio with the video, but I can just imagine the dykebitch saying “get rid of that thing”, as her hand motion suggests.
In any case, the total DISRESPECT for the flag, by dropping it, or what looks like “discarding” it is inexcusable.
I’m glad someone on their team had the presence of mind to immediately pick it up. Although my cynical mind doesn’t discount that she may have been part of the plan all along or at least knew about it in advance.
She reacted much too quickly for her action to not have been aware it was coming.
I must say, the whole stunt looked choreographed.
Well, I think that you just laid out what PDJT's invitation should say... "If you played for your country and you're a proud American, you're invited to the White House, Melania and I welcome you and we'd love to meet you. If you were one of those who disrespected our flag, are not proud our country and otherwise are not a proud American... please stay home."

That’s what I’d like to know! imho, any member of an American National team...including Olympics should be REQUIRED to stand for our Anthem and recite our Pledge of Allegiance with hand on heart. If they choose not to do so, they should be permanently off the team! Enough.
In all fairness, I watched the video and I don’t think this player dropped the flag on the ground as any type of statement. I think she is just clueless (like so many dingbat Millenials) about proper flag etiquette. Todd Starnes needs to take a chill pill. Now, as far as the butch Rapinoe, she is an anti-American gunch.

That's what I saw as well. She was horsing around in front of the camera with the flag and when they took the picture, she dropped it for the pose. Silly, yes. Deliberately anti American? Didn't look like it.
But some girl did rush over to pick the flag up off the ground. So, there's that.
