Apparently, as rumor has it, Epstein was trying to "recruit" somebody at Mar a Lago.

I think this has nothing to do with Epstein yet all to do with the left (and their media) opening another more repugnant front against Trump. This is a reasonable conclusion if it is true Comey’s daughter is leading the prosecution; sorry to for the doubt yet I have not seen convincing evidence of this. If Comey’s daughter is in charge, expect the media’s narrative to lead the effort by suggesting Trump was involved without focusing on what Epstein did or any others involved. Later the DNC will join in demanding investigations of Trump’s involvement.
I hope I am wrong yet in the end, Epstein will get another slap on the wrist, all the powerful involved will go untouched, all the case documents will be sealed (Trump blamed for this) and the media will have from now until Nov 2020 to spread rumors and innuendo from “anonymous sources close to the investigation.” This is all designed to erode his support leading to the elections.
