Yes but the Russians never let us anywhere near their subs. They let a whole sub crew perish rather than let us rescue them previously.

Exactly. The Russians always handle their affairs internally. And even if were a radiation event, they've already towed the sub back to port. Evacuation/decontamination would be handled by the Russsians alone. Plus, I believe it was their North Fleet HQ where the sub got tied up. About the closest we'll ever get to that would be Google Earth. LOL
