“Research vehicle” could mean a lot of things.
Another post indicated that Russia, the EU and the US were each on alert of some kind. A Russia ship going down with 14 lives wouldn’t normally cause that.
I hope an advanced Russia ship didn’t sink right at Iran’s doorstep. They might get some free nukes.
