I never buy it....if my pockets were deeper, I would. But at roughly $3.50 or more per gallon, non-ethanol gas is just too expensive for me.
There’s really no need for ethanol. America’s is awash in oil thanks to the president’s “drill baby drill” policies and fracking, but the president himself wants to win Iowa and other mid-western states in 2020, so I should have not been surprised when the president came out in support of 15% ethanol. Disappointed, yes, but no candidate for higher office is going to oppose ethanol with a national election looming.
You’re correct in you assessment of the ethanol issue.
I don’t know if we’ll ever shake off this “transfusion” to the farm lobby.
Wife’s people farm in SW Iowa.
They avoid ethanol blended fuel.
