Burgess Owens, safety for the Oakland raiders in the early '80s. Played in Super Bowl 15. He's a Mormon with about 6 kids and is the author of "Liberalism or How to Turn Good Men into Whiners, Weenies and Wimps".

He's an uppity sort who seems to regard himself an equal to Steve Cohen and Jerry Nadler. This is probably an underestimation on his part.

The scary part is that half the time I can't remember where I put my car keys but I can remember significant portions of Raider's rosters from the '70s and '80s. :o)

Interesting that he mentioned Booker T. Washington. His =Up From Slavery= is SO UPLIFTING. He was the first black American to be honored on a US Postage Stamp. Today, government schools have relegated him to the dustbin of history. (Go ahead. Ask any so educated, white or black or whatever, who are under 40 years old, if they know who BTW is.)
