WASHINGTON—President Trump praised Mexico’s efforts to intercept Central American asylum seekers and said that Guatemala was getting ready to sign an agreement that would make it a final refuge for people fleeing poverty and violence in the region.

One of the problems is that we have a loophole on immigration law that says that anybody can request asylum, and courts have ruled that once that paper is in the system, illegals can’t safely wait anywhere in the world except here.
No worries. I’m sure one of these vaunted “Trump judges” will change that any minute. Oh, wait. That’s not happening. I wonder why that could be?
It’s not just “the first country they reach.” According to the article, it has to sign a “Safe-Third Agreement.”

If you fund something you get more of it. Cut them off cold. Also they all seem to have 4 or 5 thousand a person. 15 or 20k per family to pay the cartels.
How many of American blue collar people have 15 or 20k laying around for a family vacation?
This money is coming from somewhere. Go after the source of the money and kill this BS. Charge the banks handling the money with human trafficking.

Seems like it depends. A new term as of this week it “safe third country” and supposedly if mehico doesn’t curb aliens, they’ll have to agree to become one of the safe 3rd countries but I guess Guatemala already has or has agreed to.
Weird eh? Here we’ve been told for a long time that people are supposed to ask for asylum the first country they get to. Now it has to be some Safe 3rd country.
